roughly 850 km by 950 km and centers on the Hammersley Ranges in
western Australia. The wide field-of view provides regional con-
text of the large structures in the range, as well as the sur-
rounding country. The coast stretches from just south of Exmouth
Bay to the southern part of Eighty Mile Beach. The lack of river
flow in this arid part of Australia is evident by the lack of
sediment-clouded water along the coast.
