STS033-073-090 Lake Seabrook, Western Australia, Australia November 1989
Strings of dry lakes (light gray to white elongated features) are widely scattered throughout Western Australia. This particular series of dry lakes include, from west to east (north is towards the bottom of the image), Lake Baladgie, Lake Deborah West, Lake Deborah East (highly reflective, white looking feature), and Lake Seabrook. Lake Seabrook lies roughly 230 miles (370 kilometers) east, northeast of Perth. The desert limit of cultivated farmlands (angular field patterns in upper right corner of the image) stands out in marked contrast with the darker colors of the naturally arid landscape.
