S48-79-021: CVIS of savanna/brush burns along the course of the
lower Zambezi River, Mozambique. Biomass burning was evident
throughout most of southern Africa south of at least 10!S during
the mission. A considerable pall was associated, and resultant
atmospheric attenuation was considerable resulting in poor visi-
bility.
