STS044-79-053: OKAVANGO SWAMP Green fingers of the Okavango
Swamp in northwest Botswana, in southern Africa, comprise the
tall riverine forest along the many waterways of the swamplands.
They contrast with the surrounding yellow surface of savanna-
covered dunes. (Recent missions found a remarkable greening of
the savanna after regional rains so that the contrast between
swamp and savanna was difficult to see.)
