Ica River Valley/Paracas Peninsula

The irrigated Ica River Valley (1) and the Paracas Peninsula (2)
are seen in this low oblique view looking west. Irrigation of
river valleys from intermittent streams fed by snowmelt in the
Andes is necessary for agriculture in this harsh land. Other
features visible are the Bays of Pisco (3) and Independence (4).
