Image Caption: View of the Apollo 9 Lunar Module, in a lunar landing configuration, as photographed form the Command/Service Module on the fifth day of the Apollo 9 earth-orbital mission. The Lunar Module "Spider" is flying upside down in relation to the earth below. The landing gear on the "Spider" had been deployed. Lunar surface probes (sensors) extend out from the landing gear foot pads.
