Image Caption:
STS042-77-004 Kluchevskaya and Tolbachinsky Volcanoes, Kamchatka
Another scene of the northern volcanoes of Kamchatka.
Low clouds drape around the lower slopes of the mountains. Klu-
chevskaya appears to be slightly dirty but not as dark as the ESC
image. This photograph was taken on January 27, 1992. Note the
bright snow cover on the more recent flank lava flows which are
unvegetated.
