STS044-75-024: SAUDI ARABIAN DUNES Linear dunes and wind streaks
are thought to develop parallel to formative winds. Here dune
alignments in Saudi Arabia are at right angles to young wind
streaks suggesting that the dunes are ancient features, not
formed by modern wind regimes.
