STS042-91-002: Lake Nasser and Aswan Dam, Southern Egypt
This remarkable photograph covers more than 200 km, from
the Aswan Dam to the Wadi Halfa, Sudan. The Lake Nasser water
levels are slightly higher than last observed, in a 1988 Shuttle
photograph. Large areas of the lake bottom remain exposed as
whitish-gray patches.
