STS49-92-011: Mississippi River Delta This somewhat hazy view of
the Mississippi River Delta was photographed with CVIS film.
While boundaries such as the coastline are blurred by atmospheric
scatter, the sediment-laden river waters are clearly visible as a
brownish plumes entering the relatively clear, blue waters of the
Gulf of Mexico from the numerous channels of the birds-foot del-
ta.
