Numerous streams begin their journey eastward to the Central Man-
churian Plain including the Hsi-La-Mu-Lun (1). Note the
transverse sand dunes (2) onthe south side of the streams sug-
gesting strong north winds during the dry seasons depositing the
silt and sand out of the streambeds. (51B-46-008)
