Image Caption: Zereh Depression, Afghanistan and Pakistan. No real published literature from this site, but in looking through photos over the course of this summer, this site has jumped out as one that may prove very informative. Contains close juxtaposition of different environments and deposits that relate in some way to the hydrological cycle (alluvial fans, riverine, eolian, and lacustrine), and may represent an excellent opportunity to study geologic response to past climate change.
