Image Caption: Southeasternmost Greater Caucasus ranges at the Caspian seacoast. Mt. Babadag (3,629 m), the southern peak, is in Azerbaijan; Mt. Bazar Dyuzi (4,480 m) is on the Russia-Azerbaijan border. With the northward movement of the Arabian crustal plate, the strata of these ranges have been crumpled against the Russian Platform on the Eurasian plate.
