Rozewie Peninsula has analogues closer to home in Bolivar Peninsula at the mouth of Galveston Bay, and at the mouth of Mobile Bay (AL). Similar complexes can be seen in Shuttle photographs along the Atlantic coast of New York, New Jersey, Maryland, South Carolina and Georgia.
