Image Caption: STS075-723-038 Rio Grande Valley and McAllen, Texas, U.S.A., and Reynosa, Mexico March 1996
This east-looking, low-oblique photograph shows the Rio Grande Valley west of McAllen (upper center) and Reynosa (midway between the upper center and the upper right). The Rio Grande is shallow in much of this part of the Rio Grande Valley. Agricultural field patterns are more prevalent north of the river in the United States than in the more rolling terrain of Mexico to the south.
