Image Caption: Southwestern Australia. An oblique look at the sweep of
the western Australian coast past Perth to Geographe Bay and beyond to
the southern coast. The cultivated pattern along the coast, below a
great ancient wave-cut escarpment more than 1000 feet high, is
separated from broad fields of the wheat belt by brushy uncultivated
land of the Darling Range.
