Image Caption: Tropical Cyclone Litanne
Tropical Cyclone Litanne traversed the southern Indian
Ocean. The orbiter passed over the eye of this system when
it was only a few degrees east of Madagascar. Notice that
this an older storm where the upper level clouds are turning
in an anticyclonic motion rather than the cyclonic turning
at the surface.
