Image Caption: STS062-104-106 Green River and San Rafael River, Utah, U.S.A. March 1994
The rugged canyon region around the Green River in east-central Utah is featured in this east-looking, low-oblique photograph. The Green River, visible in the left center of the photograph, becomes barely discernible as it flows south through Desolation Canyon on the Tavaputs Plateau (center of photograph). Portions of San Rafael Swell and Coal Cliffs are apparent (upper left).
