Image Caption: Fog over the Namib desert
Lets look at some different types of weather phenomena. Fog or low stratus is moving over the coastal regions of the Namib desert. The fog is caused by the cold upwelled water along the African coast and is usually the only moisture that the Namib desert receives for, sometimes, over a period of years.
