No GeoTIFF is available for this photo.Image Caption: This southeastward view across the arid coastal plain of southern Somalia, (9.5N, 51.0E) covers the coastline from the Dhul Hafun peninsula in the east to Ras (Cape) Ilig in the west. There are no good harbors, no permanent streams or rivers and few people in this 200 mile wide expanse of dry coastal plain. The cloud line offshore marks the limit of offshore breeze and provides a partial explanition for the lack of rain in this region.
