Image Caption: During STS-47, the Spacelab Japan (SLJ) module exterior is photographed through the aft flight deck windows. SLJ module is located in the payload bay of Endeavour, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 105, and connected to the crew compartment via the spacelab (SL) transfer tunnel. In the foreground, is the SL tunnel and support struts. On SLJ's forward end cone are the insignias of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the SLJ mission. Rising behind the SLJ module are the vertical tail and the two orbital maneuvering system (OMS) pods. In the distant background is the Earth's cloud-covered surface.
