310 Final photo in a series that shows the greatest most dense
pollution pall over the Po River valley in northern Italy. This
region is heavily industrialized by the cities of Milan, Turin,
Bologna, Venice, and Trieste. Additionally, northern Italy was
affected by a very stable atmosphere which did not allow pollu-
tants to disperse during the mission.
