STS045-97-035: Wide -angle view of the northern volcanoes, Kam-
chatka Peninsula. This view includes the active volcanoes of
Shiveluch (north, to top), Kluchevskaya (center) and several to
the south on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Kluchevskaya is dirt-
covered, suggesting recent activity,. In fact, the volcano was
photographed with summit plumes and similarly dirty slopes on
STS-39 (April, 1991) and STS-42 (January, 1991).
