Color visible photograph of the sunglint pattern in the Simbutu Passage, taken November 26, 1991. Internal waves generated by tidal flow through the strait are clearly visible. In fact, there are two sets of these internal waves, moving in opposite directions, which suggests that they are set up by the opposite tides.
