S43-93-05 - Mammillary Clouds
This image, taken on August 3 (Flight Day 2) at 15:41 GMT, shows
the northern extent of an area of Bernard cell convection over
the South Atlantic Ocean. The area shown is centered on 5.4S,
3.0E, about 600 nautical miles west of the coast of Angola.

These unusual Stratocumulus Clouds over the South Atlantic Ocean (5.0S, 2.5E) were the northern extent of an area of Bernard Cell convection and were spotted approximately 600 miles west of Angola.
