S43-152-BB - Southeastern Brazil
Very large fields typical of irrigated farmland contrast with
patchy upland agriculture in this view of southeastern Brazil;
the reservoir is located just to the upper right of Uberlandia,
Sate of Minas Gerais. The two major tributeries that feed the
reservoir are the Rio Sao Marcos and the Rio Paranaiba. At the
extreme bottom of the photograph is a circular
geological/topographic feature, with a plume of smoke in the
center that probably comes from a mining smelter.mine and
smelter. Linhof camera, 250mm lens, ?GMT
