STS042-77-092 24 Jan 92 00:11 GMT ERSAF area number 2053
The coastline east of Tokyo. This image also shows quite
dramatically the sharp boundaries that are typical of many
snowfalls. A couple of days before this image was taken, a storm
system tracked south of Tokyo. The storm system was able to draw
down enough cold air to mix with the moisture gained from the Pa-
cific to lay down this stripe of snow.
