STS040-601-010 Atlas Mountains. Strongly curved sand dune pat-
terns are reminiscent of dune patterns on the north side of the
Caucasus Mountains in south central Asia (Turkmenistan). The
curve appears too tight for most synoptic wind systems and may
relate to mountain effects on wind flow.
