This image taken over the South Pacific shows the effect of down-
drafts from dissipating cumulus on the sun glint pattern. Sun
glint is a function of wind speed and direction as well as sun
angle. In the dissipating cumulus the downdraft imparts a varia-
tion of the sea surface.
