photograph of the sunglint pattern in the Simbutu Passage, a nar-
row strait along the northeast coast of Borneo (5.0! N, 119.5!
E), taken during STS-38 on November 19, 1990. Internal waves
generated by the swift tidal flow through the narrow strait are
clearly visible.
