Image Caption: High oblique view of Yucatan Peninsula
Here is a slightly cloudy view of the entire Yucatan
Peninsula. (An 8 in. X 10 in. of this is only about $10.00).
There are other views of the Yucatan Peninsula which are
more nadir give more detail. The resolution on the Landsat
image above is about 79 m and with the thermatic mapper is
about 30 m. The resolution of nadir views from the orbiter
with a 250 mm lens at 160 nm is 10 to 15 m. (There are
other Earth Resource satellites such as SPOT which has about
5 meter resolution but it also costs from 2000 to 3000
dollars.)
