S36-151-247: Lake Michigan, western portion of the state of
Michigan This low-oblique view shows Lake Michigan and the
western portion of the state of Michigan. The snow cover is evi-
dence of the Rlake effectS phenomenon which is prevalent in this
region during the winter season. Less snow cover is visible on
the Wisconsin or lee side of the lake, as is visible at the lower
left of the scene.
