Zufar Sandy Area T83
These two views show the complex patterns of the Zufar Sandy area
in the southern Rub region of the sandy area and numerous small
alluvial fans and river channels coming off the Al Harais Plateau
(1). The Saman Mountains (2) and the coastal city of Salalah (3)
can also be seen. The Arabian Sea is visible at the top right.
The bottom near-vertical view gives a more detailed look at the
Zufar Sandy Area, with dunes measuring over 200 meters in height.
An arrow on the top photograph gives the approximate location of
the Sandy Area shown on the bottom photograph. (S33-77-043,
