Thunderstorms, Angola
This west-looking low oblique view shows a number of thunder-
storms building over the Angolan Plateau. It allows scientists to
view many thunderstorms in various stages of development and to
study the cloud structure in each storm. Overshooting tops can be
seen on a number of the thunderstorms. The rainy season is in
full swing in this part of the world during the southern hemi-
sphere summer. (S32-81-061)
