Eastern Himalaya Mountains T110
This view from Skylab shows the front range of the eastern
Himalaya Mountains (1) and the vast plateau (2). From the Brah-
maputra River Valley (3), the forested slopes of the foothills of
the Himalayas are visible. Note the heavy sediment load of the
Diahang (4) and other rivers and streams as they emerge from the
