Lake Van and the Black Sea T73
A high oblique, east-looking view of Eastern Turkey illustrates
the volcanic terrain surrounding Lake Van. Many of these
features have yet to be mapped or explored by geologists in the
field. Mt. Arant is the snow-capped peak (white dot) bottom
right. Other volcanoes appear just beyond Lake Van. (SL3-115-
