  STS068-208-107 Crescent City, California, U.S.A. October 1994
Southwest Oregon and northwest California, home of some giant redwood trees, are featured in this photograph. Vegetation (displayed as reds on color infrared film) is discernible--the lighter, more highly reflective areas within the forests show areas of clear-cutting. Viewing south to north on this Pacific deltoid peninsula are Crescent City; dark, irregular Lake Earl; and the mouth of the Smith River. The mouth of the Klamath River lies south of Crescent City.
