Refer to STS051-078-064 for a description of the geographic features that are also observable in this image. Note that this picture shows more of the terrain, including low mountains that are located west of Curtis Island. Also, notice that the sediment plume in Keppel Bay is smaller than the one seen in the spring time image. The dark feature along the right edge of the picture is a reservoir on a small river south of Gladstone.
