STS113-715-R Dallas, TX, USA.

STS113-347-34 New York City: Manhattan Island appears just left of center, flanked by the lower Hudson River (left), and the East River (right). Several bridges can be discerned. The lake in Central Park is particularly visible. The Verrazano Narrows Bridge appears center on the bottom margin of the view, dividing upper New York Bay from Lower New York Bay. Newark Bay is the waterbody lower left. Three famous islands appear at the north (top) end of Upper New York Bay, the smallest being Liberty Island (Statue of Liberty not visible at this resolution), Ellis Island, the middle-sized island, and Governor's Island, the largest. Queens appears top right and Brooklyn lower right, with the Naval Air Station on Jamaica Bay on the right margin.

STS113-350-7 Lagos, Nigeria: This is one of the most detailed views of this vast and burgeoning city (8.3 million). Lagos grew by 300,000 people per year during the 1980s and 1990s. While 100% of households in Lagos are connected to electricity and 65% to water, only 2% have telephone service.

STS113-715-19 Colorado Springs Vicinity, CO, USA: This broad context view features snowcapped Pikes Peak on the Front Range and Black Forest on the high plains to the east. Across the Arkansas River valley in the lower right, the northern part of the Sangre de Cristo mountains is visible.

STS113-357-10 Black Forest Regional Park, El Paso County, CO, USA: An outlying ecological region of Ponderosa Pine, this area northeast of Colorado Springs features more than 450 acres of wooded parks and recreational facilities.

STS113-715-14 San Luis Valley, Sangre de Cristo and San Juan Mountains, CO, USA: Despite the winter conditions, note the intense agricultural development of the valley near Alamosa (bottom center).
