| The highly industrialized northwest portion of Galveston Bay is highlighted in this image. The cities of Baytown and Pasadena are the two prominent gray areas near center. Dredge spoils from the Houston Ship Channel created most of Atkinson Island to the south, and Hogg Island is located to the north at the entrance to Buffalo Bayou. |
