Rotorua geothermal field, North Island, New Zealand. Individual well pads, roads and pipeline corridors are clearly visible in this exeptional view of the Rotorua (Wairaki?) geothermal field. Volcanic heat and steam are harnessed for both heating and electrical power generation for North Island.
