| Africa: An analogue for arid drainage and erosion on Mars? The wonderful 3D perspective of this photograph shows the drainages cutting through different layers of lava. It is possible that the plateau serves as an analogue for ancient streams on Mars cutting through basaltic layers during a previously wetter climate. |
