STS097-712-50 South Africa: Western Cape Province, wide angle.

STS097-711-72 South Africa: Stereo pair - Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town. The broad, open folds of the Cedarberg Range formed ~230 million years ago during assembly of the supercontinent Gondwana.

STS097-711-69 South Africa: Stereo pair - Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town, Cedarberg Range, Karroo Ranges. The Karroo Ranges formed a little later in the assembly of Gondwana (~228 million years ago); that event refolded the southern Cedarberg Range, and interfering folds can be seen in this view.

STS097-716-11 East Africa: Lake Natron, rift valley faults, little red coloration due to plankton. Compared with STS055-93-37.
