Image Caption: STS61A-50-0077 Lake George, New South Wales, Australia November 1985
Lake George (large, cream-colored feature) is located approximately 15 miles (24 kilometers) northeast of Canberra, Australia's capital city, (not included in this picture) in the southeast corner of New South Wales. Two smaller lakes (same color), Lake Bathurst and The Morass, are also visible east of Lake George. In addition to patches of clouds along the left margin of the image, very thin, wispy clouds are also visible in the middle of the picture, thereby reducing the sharpness of the image.
